Handloom cotton is cotton cloth woven on a loom worked by hand rather than by machine. Patterns are woven into the cloth as it is made. All six of our Monipuri sarees are premium handloom cotton.
What it looks and feels like
- Hand: firm with a little texture; it softens with every wash.
- Drape: structured; it keeps its shape all day.
- Weather: very breathable.
- Look: small irregularities in the weave show it was made by hand.
Best for
Work, daytime gatherings and anyone who likes a crisp, tidy drape.
Care
Hand wash in cold water, dry in the shade and iron on medium heat. More in our saree care guide.
