Six Colours of Monipuri: Our Handloom Collection

Six handwoven Monipuri cotton sarees, each with the white temple border, a 13.5 haat length and an unstitched blouse piece. Here is how they differ.

Our Monipuri collection has six sarees. They share the same build: premium handloom cotton, the woven temple border known as Moirang Phee, a length of 13.5 haat, and an unstitched blouse piece. What changes is the colour, and colour changes the whole mood of a saree.

The six sarees

Golden Marigold (yellow)

A bright marigold body with the temple motifs woven in navy blue and fine grey lines. It is the boldest of the six and the easiest to spot in a crowd. See the Golden Marigold saree.

Teal Blue

Deep teal with a crisp white border and small rose-gold accents. Calm, a little formal, and good for daytime events. See the Teal Blue saree.

Coffee Crimson

Dark coffee brown running into crimson, with the white border cutting through. If you find plain red too loud, this is the red for you. See the Coffee Crimson saree.

Royal Purple

A deep purple base with white motifs and thin lavender lines. A strong colour for evening events. See the Royal Purple saree.

Sakura Pink

The softest of the set: light pink with a white border and small touches of orange and navy. A good first Monipuri if you usually wear pastels. See the Sakura Pink saree.

Orchid Mist (lavender)

Lavender with wide magenta stripes and indigo temple weaves. Bright and young, and the most modern-looking piece in the collection. See the Orchid Mist saree.

Why handloom cotton

Handloom cotton breathes, so these sarees stay comfortable through a long, warm day. The weave is firm, which means the pleats sit neatly and the saree keeps its shape from morning to evening. It also softens a little with every wash.

You can browse all six together in our Monipuri collection.
