Moirang Phee is a traditional Manipuri textile pattern: a row of small triangles, like temple roofs, running along the border of the cloth. It is woven into the fabric, not printed.
How to recognise it
- A repeating row of pointed triangles along the edge.
- Usually in a colour that contrasts with the body; on our sarees, mostly white.
- It shows from the back of the fabric too, because it is woven in.
